Berries and More Berries..
Hi Loves, Starting your morning the right way is very important. This is how I start my day with a smoothie and to make it interesting I layer it and add some fruits inside.
Nothing like a cold smoothie to kick off your day yumm :) .Its Healthy and refreshing and personally it keeps me full that way I'm not tempted to eat a whole bunch of stuff. As a Mother I enjoy making this smoothie for my kids too. They love the fact that it has different colors and its also a very easy way to get them to eat fruits.
Heres how i do it.
Things you will need:
- Blender
- strawberries
- Blueberries
- Yogurt (i prefer greek yogurt)
- ice
- Banana
- Mason Jar
You can use any fruit you want this is just an example of how I do it :).
Once you have all your ingredients in place ,start off with the bottom layer and in my case I used the blueberries ,3 tablespoons of greek yogurt and some ice,blend it till its all smooth and all the ice has been crushed then set it aside. (i did not add water nor Almond Milk because I did not want it to be too thin .To achieve the layers you want it to be thick but then again not too thick because hey thats going to be a struggle to even suck it through a straw <LOL> but the yogurt and ice do the trick making it perfect.)
Repeat the same process with your strawberries, bananas , 3 tablespoons of yoghurt and the ice.
Now that thats done start with adding the blueberry mix into your mason jar, add as much as you would like I did a little past mid point. Add the strawberry mix next then cut up some strawberries and place in on top and your done. Simple ,Quick ,Healthy and filling . Great for both Adults and Kids.
