Red velvet white chocolate chip Cookies

Cookies

I have been trying new things for my kids for dessert and came across this cookie online and decided to try it. I'm Big on health so I give them lots of veggies and fruits but I like to throw in a little bit of sweets here and there after dinner.

Its funny because I've heard a lot about red velvet cake and how its so good but little did i know its dyed chocolate like literally but I'm sure some of you already know it or is it all of you ? hmmm anyway I was glad to read about it and enjoyed making these cookies from scratch. The cookies were so good and i will definitely be baking them again. This is how I did it.

Ingredients:

  • 11/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1tsp distilled white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp red food coloring
  • 1tsp cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 tspCocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Once that is done mix the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cornstarch, salt all in one bowl and set aside.
  3. Whip together butter and sugar in a large bowl whisking it then add the egg and beat it some more until it becomes fluffy.Add the food coloring, white vinegar and vanilla mix until its all blended in together.
  4. Once you have that done add the flour mix in portions as you whisk it all in then add the  white chocolate chips.
  5. Get your pan and place the cookie dough using a spoon and leave space between each cookie since it will flatten as it bakes (you don't want them all attached).
  6. Place it in the oven for 15-19 minutes and like i did i added more white chocolate chips on top while it was fresh out the oven.If you decide to add more add it while its still hot before it hardens.

I forgot to put the cocoa powder in the picture but its on the ingredient list.

Try it with a glass of milk :)

Thanks

Xx
