A Chocolate Mint Affair
This was just one of the cakes I baked for my sons Birthday. It was simple. He is crazy about green like literally everything has got to be green . Its a small double layered Marble Cake with chocolate frosting all over then added the kit-kats allover then just poured the chocolate mint M&M'S all over it and did his name JAY with the candy :)
Here are some of the Pictures of the Procedure....
Here are the Ingredients .
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups all Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 11/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 spoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- For this part i simply used Betty Crocker Milk chocolate Frosting , Mint M&M'S and Kit-kats.
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Grease a 9 inch round pan.
- Place flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk into mixing bowl. Beat slowly to soften, then beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth or in my case i just prefer to use a whisk which may take longer but its gives you similar results. Reserve 3/4 cup batter; pour the remainder into pan.
- Stir cocoa into the 3/4 cup reserved batter. Drop a little like a spoonfull over top of white batter, using a knife or fork swirl it around to your satisfaction.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
- To Ensure its done use a toothpick or knife and poke the middle part and if it comes out clean its done.
Its quite easy and quick, I get all my recipes online then add on a twist to it .
Enjoy!
